Matthew Singer is an assistant professor of political science at the University of Connecticut, where he teaches courses on public opinion and democratic instutions around the world. He received his PhD in political science from Duke University. His research focuses on how elections serve to generate representation and accountability and has been published in Compatative Political Studies, the British Journal of Political Science, the European Journal of Political Research, Electoral Studies, Politca y Gobierno, and the World Development Review.
