CIPA will be hosting a lunch roundtable discussion with Jeff Wright, CIPA MPA '91 and Senior Director at Aveshka, on Monday, October 22, 2012, from 1:30-2:30pm in the CIPA Conference Room (22 Caldwell Hall).
Jeff Wright served as a US Military Attache in New Delhi from 1999-2001, followed by senior management positions with Booz Allen Hamilton and the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS). At DHS, Wright developed the Cyber Exercise Program and the National Cyber Exercise series, Cyber Storm, executing over 17 cyber exercises in a two-year period. In his role at DHS, Wright also developed, coordinated, and implemented
exercise activities that included National and Homeland Security Councils, the Office of Management and Budget, foreign and state governments, as well as the private sector. Wright ultimately advanced to the position of
Deputy Director for Strategic Initiatives in DHS' National Cyber Security Division, where he provided strategic leadership for seven high-visibility cyber security programs with national and global impact. After leaving DHS,
Wright worked at the executive level in several information security and emergency management firms, including Koniag Services, Inc. (KSI), Dynetics, Inc., and the Civitas Group. In his current role as a Senior Director
at Aveshka, Wright leads the firm's cyber exercise and emergency management practice areas, with a focus on cyber security, including network security, certification and accreditation, security assessments, and testing.
