Concentration Coursework

The Foundation coursework addresses basic concepts of public policy and necessary analytical tools; the Concentration builds on the Foundation coursework and encourages students to apply their new skills in their respective areas of interest.

Each fellow selects one of the eight Concentration options and focuses their studies toward the completion of a Master's Thesis or Professional Project.  Students can pursue a broad range of interests within each of the eight general Concentrations.  When appropriate to the student’s special interests, two or more concentrations may be combined.

The eight CIPA concentration options are explained in detail on the following pages.

Environmental Policy
Finance and Fiscal Policy
Government, Politics, and Policy Studies
Human Rights and Social Justice
International Development Studies
Public and Non-Profit Management
Science and Technology Policy
Social Policy
