Meet the Core Faculty
Because CIPA is an interdisciplinary program, our Fellows take courses from a wide variety of faculty members across the university. CIPA core faculty members, however, provide cohension to the program and coherence in academic advising. In addition, they serve as the academic foundation and the central policy-making body of the program.
With broad representation from across the university, the core faculty bring an academic richness to CIPA that transcends disciplinary boundaries. In addition, they bring a range of experience and involvement in domestic US and international public affairs, which enhances their teaching and advising.
Academic Advisement
Upon entering CIPA, Fellows are assigned a core faculty advisor based on the area of of interest they listed on their application. Following registration, Fellows may elect to change their advisors via a Petition Request Form if they think that another core faculty member would be more appropriate given their career interests.
